Victorian Energy Compare

Website redesign of Victorian Energy Compare.

Victorian Energy Compare

Project overview

I am currently leading the comprehensive UI/UX redesign of the Victorian Energy Compare (VEC) website for the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

This multi-phase project focuses on enhancing user experience and accessibility to help Victorian consumers easily compare energy offers and make informed decisions. The redesign prioritises WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance while modernising the visual design and improving usability across all user journeys.

In my first four months with VEC, I developed a style guide, journey maps, sitemap and comprehensive documentation for the wider UX, operations and development teams. I then successfully delivered a new colour palette, button design and icon styling updates to the live website. I collaborated closely with the development team to implement these changes and contributed to a comprehensive QA testing scheme.

Future phases of the website will include typography and imagery updates, content optimisation, and information architecture restructuring.
